Scott W. Stram, Esq. is an attorney with experience in a wide range of legal and business areas including: corporate law, contracts, employment and human resources, data security, privacy, compliance, operations, real estate and intellectual property.
Before starting Stram Law, he worked as In-house Counsel and Chief Security and Compliance Officer for a financial company that performed large-scale unclaimed property audits. In addition to handling the general corporate legal work, Mr. Stram was responsible for ensuring that data was kept secure and that state laws and other regulatory requirements were complied with. Prior to the financial auditing firm, Mr. Stram was the Managing Director of a security consulting practice where he helped set up companies from a legal, operations, security and human resources standpoint. In addition, he has worked as the sole in-house counsel and Chief Operations Officer for a marketing technology company, in IP enforcement for Viacom and CBS, and as Director of Operations and Risk Management for a large gift company.
Mr. Stram is a 1993 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2006 from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. Mr. Stram is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars. He has been a member of both the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. While in law school, Mr. Stram was accepted into the prestigious and nationally-renowned Cardozo Mediation Clinic. He is a Safe Horizon approved mediator.
